Hello friends and family! Welcome to the DeBruhl blog. I figured this would be a good way to keep everyone up to date on what's going on in our busy family. I hope to be able to post pics - if I can figure out how to do it!
At the present time, all of us are healthy and doing well. Corey has been busy with a lot of papers and tests prior to going on spring break with some friends to Destin, Fla.
Keller is finished with basketball and gearing up for golf. Because he switched schools from last year, the athletic policy is that you have to sit out a year. Even though he was unable to play, he was technically a part of the basketball team. He went to all of the practices & games and kept such a good attitude about it that he was awarded the "Sabre Award" at the banquet. It was a very high honor and the coach even had tears in his eyes as he presented it to Keller. They can't wait until next year when Keller will be able to play and based on the team this year, he will be a star player next year, his senior year. We are VERY proud of him.
Carly is busy with volleyball, volleyball, volleyball. She has tournaments almost every weekend. They are a very good team and usually make it into the championship game. Unfortunately, by the time they get to that game they are playing a team that's just a little bit better or "more together" than our team. We have yet to win our first "gold" division, but I have high hopes. Carly is still dating Hunter who is just as busy with soccer as she is with volleyball. She also has her big "Sweet 16" birthday coming up and she is very excited.
Kayden is growing like a weed and surprising us all the time with the things that come out of her mouth. She is so grown up for her age. She is already in to Hannah Montanna and High School Musical. She loves watching American Idol and has her opinions about each of the contestants. She does not like "the girl with white in her hair" and she doesn't like that Jason Castro "is a man with woman hair". We took her to get registered for K3 yesterday at Taylors First Baptist. She will start in the fall. She will go from 8:30-11:30 every Monday & Tuesday.
Not much going on with Max & I except that I will be having my second carpal tunnel surgery on April 3rd. In case you haven't heard yet, Kayden and I will be coming up to Ky over spring break 3/24-3/28 or 29. Vickie has generously offered to pay for my gas to make this trip possible so that we can keep her company while Mark & Ryan are out of town on a mission trip that week.
Well, that's all my news for now. Love you all. Di
